Edmond Yeo, JP, is a community leader dedicated to many charitable and volunteering activities. He is the current Chair of the Chinese Information and Advice Centre (CIAC), a registered UK Charity. He is also a Trustee of One Westminster, Children’s Hope Foundation, North London Chinese Association, Chinese in Britain Forum and a Director of London HuaYu Chinese Radio Station.
He is active in politics and was a former elected Councillor for the London Borough of Ealing. He was the recent Chair at the Ealing North Conservative Association and has held various other officer positions. He is a frequent commentator of politics, social, charity and community issues and an experienced contributor at many policy roundtables and workshops. He has also addressed several forums and conferences.
Mr. Yeo received a “Lifetime Achievement Award for Community Leadership” at the World Chinese Economic Forum (WCEF) in 2013. He is a member of the WCEF Global Business Advisory Council.
He sits as a Magistrate and also serves on the Board of HM Prison at Wormwood Scrubs. He was a member of the London Probation Trust Community Advisory Panel and the London Crown Prosecution Service Community Involvement Panel. He was also a Community Ambassador for the UK DeFRA and is a school governor in London.
He enjoys singing and is a member of the Joint Force Singers of Westminster.
Mr. Yeo has a proven track record of leading businesses to success. In 1989, he was seconded by a UK international foreign currency dealer to head up the Hong Kong, China and the Asia Pacific markets where he successfully led the business through legislation changes effected before Hong Kong’s handover to China in 1997. He also wrote a book on “Hong Kong Home Décor”. In addition, he is a private investor in restaurants and property development.
