Vice Chairman, Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) of Foshan City, China
Ms. Qiao Ping was born in Heilongjiang, Qiqihar, in 1956. She is a member of the Communist Party of China. She is a provincial Party school graduate. Today she assists the Chinese President govern by presiding over the daily work of the CPPCC.
Between 1973 and 1979 she worked at Xinhui County Labor University. Between 1979 and 1983 she worked at the Guangdong Provincial People’s Procuratorate as the Foshan Branch Secretary. In 1983 she became the Foshan City Procuratorate Secretary, working her way up until she became Nanhai City Procuratorate Deputy Attorney in 1990.
Between 1991 and 1995, she served at the Foshan City Procuratorate in the capacity of Office Director and the Chief of Criminal Investigation. She later became Deputy Prosecutor of Foshan City Procuratorate, until 1998. She then became Foshan City Procuratorate Deputy Prosecutor and the Deputy Party Secretary at the Anti-Corruption Bureau. She is also a member of the Municipal Commission for Discipline Inspection Standing Committee. In 2003, she joined the Foshan City Commission for Discipline Inspection.
In 2011 to 2013, Ms Qiao served at the Guangdong Provincial Party Committee Inspection Group both as Deputy Head and Deputy Department Level Inspectors. From 2013 to 2015, she served at the Shanwei Municipal Standing Committee as Secretary of the Discipline Inspection Commission. Since then, she has served as Foshan City CPPCC Vice Chairman, Leading Party Deputy Secretary.
