Chairman, Tungling Group, Malaysia
Tan Sri Tan is a retired businessman. He was an active personality in the Malaysian political arena as well as the corporate sector during the seventies and eighties, especially the period from 1971 to 1986.
He was the former President of MCA (Malaysian Chinese Association), which is the second largest political party in the coalition Government of Malaysia. Mr Tan is a man of wide-ranging experience, whose life story is packed with dramas of strives and struggles, of victories and defeats, of successes and heartaches.
Prior to joining politics, Mr Tan was the CEO and founder of many well-known Malaysian corporations. He attended the Senior Management Programme in Harvard Business School in 1976, and was a key player in modernising the Malaysian corporate sector and in the introduction of new management philosophies during his time. He was, and still is, a well-sought speaker, even from his young corporate days.
The testimony of his experiences has touched the hearts of many, and it would be a rare opportunity to share those experiences, especially that which highlights the aspirations of today’s youths in the changing political and economic landscape of Asia; but more than that, he also has an awesome experience in meeting his creator God, which he also shares with great passion.
